Marco Polo has the following standing committees:

• Management and budgets- for overall running
• Food pricing- for setting minimum prices for the meals
• Menu preparation- to set the menus and menu mix for the day’s operations

Operational strategies

Staff selection and orientation- Staff recruitment is on basis of merit and relevant experience. The current staffs are training to the highest levels possible and affordable.

There are three core-staffing areas:

Catering- Headed by the executive chef in support of the various head chefs for the different locations, cooks, kitchen assistants, etc.

Administration - All Departmental heads are responsible to the General Manager who is the Chief answering officer to the Chief Executive. headed by the Managing Director and supported by the administrative and accounts staff, the administrative. This staffs are responsible for company strategy and corporate decisions, and also for marketing strategy and product development.

Operations - The operation staff consists of the restaurant and distribution staff. In addition, there will be the delivery staff (drivers and take away delivery officers).

Quality Control - Marco Polo adheres to a strict quality control procedure to ensure uniformity in the quality and presentation of meals served at the Restaurant, and to ensure that customers receive the highest level of services. To this end, Marco polo has an operation manual used at the Restaurant; in addition to periodic spot checks to ensure strict adherence to existing procedures are met.

Furthermore, the company prides itself having and keeping the standards good HSE and Quality Assurance manuals and practices.

Mr. Olumide Adegbite -  Managing Director/CEO

Mr. Olumide Adegbite is the Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of Marco Polo Nig. Ltd. As a young dynamic entrepreneur who believes so much in hard work, he has single handedly piloted the ship of Marco polo to its current position since the company’s start of operations in 2002.

His love for adventure gave rise to the christening of the company to ‘MARCO POLO’ (The great adventurer).

‘Mide holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from Nigeria’s premier University: University of Ibadan among other professional qualifications. In addition, his prowess in business and management has accorded him sits in many principal positions and membership in the board of many blue chip companies which cut across the construction, oil and gas as well hospitality industries among others.
He is married with children.
